The program Discover Your Croatia was created to give young Croatians from the diaspora the opportunity to connect with the land of their ancestors and rediscover their roots. This ten-day program, intended for young people aged 18 to 25, opens the door to exploring Croatian culture, language, history and contemporary life.

 

The model is inspired by Israel’s highly successful experience. Through a similar program, Israel hosted around one million young people of Israeli origin, offering them an immersive introduction to their heritage. Approximately 250,000 of them later chose to remain and build their lives in Israel. This clearly shows how a direct experience of the homeland can shape identity, belonging and long-term decisions.

 

Following that example, Discover Your Croatia provides participants with a journey through historical cities, natural landmarks and cultural sites, combined with workshops, peer interactions and meetings with local communities. The aim is to strengthen the sense of belonging, encourage pride and create a new generation of young people who see Croatia as part of their own identity.

 

This program is more than a trip. It is an invitation for young Croatians worldwide to take a personal step toward their heritage and history. It is an investment in future leaders, entrepreneurs and cultural ambassadors who will remain connected with Croatia throughout their lives.
